Because sometimes night falls upon the path

Do not despair:
For the darkness teaches things that the light cannot
and if you stay by me in darkness
goodness always comes
always

Idols: There are so many of them

In the form of bank accounts
and status
and image
and safety
and comfort
and power
and reassurance
and security
and prosperity
and prestige
and honor
and reassurance
and schedules
and drama
and control
and tranquility:

The list of idols goes on forever;
it’s a wonder we make it to the altar of the Lord at all

You’re invited! Interspiritual Prayer Session

Friends, You are invited to an interspiritual prayer session this coming Saturday. Is it not human when, in dark times, to ask where we can go for help?

It doesn’t matter what spiritual background you come from/where you are at, but just know that we would be, as a group, offering people, events, and situations in prayer. Getting it out. No, you don’t have to shout out, revival style. But you can. If you have a quieter style, you could just write into the chat box the things/people that you would like us to pray for. All those who are sick. Suffering from anxiety/depression and so many other reasons. All those who have died. And if you just want to come and be in the presence of a group that is intentionally connecting to What Is Greater, you could do that, too. You don’t have to say anything, really. And if you do want to say something, you would be invited to do so.

I will use words like God, Goddess, Earth, Ancestors, Spirit, Infinite Love, Lord. You are free to use whatever words are most accurate for your path.

It is free. You can stay as long/short as you wish. In fact, if you wanted to just drop in, put the prayer request in the chat box, and leave, that is invited, too.

When faced with situations greater than their capacity, our ancestors turned to a Greater Capacity. Their ancestors did, too.

What to expect: I will start at 2 PM  (CT) this Saturday with a short, guided meditation to center us. After an opening prayer, people can take the “prayer baton” and pray out loud for the things that they need to be heard. For those who wish, you can place your prayer requests into the chat box at any time. There will be time and space for listening – listening to Spirit/Ancestors/God – and the opportunity to share that with others, too. To share what we hear.

That’s the loose idea, and of course Spirit will take it wherever It wishes. So most of all, making space for Spirit, and spirit within us. To connect within, to connect without, to connect across.

I am very much looking forward to this.

If you are interested, let me know in the comments below, and I’ll send you the Zoom registration link. You will need to register to receive the link to our session.

Let me know if you have any questions.

What: Interspiritual prayer session

When: Saturday, December 5, 2 PM-3 PM Central Time

To join: Let me know in the comments and I’ll send you the Zoom link.

Here is to the journey, my friends. Using all the tools we have, and then some. – Meisaan

Yes, there is death, and lots of it

Parable of the woman and the bag of gold

There once was a woman who discovered a bag of gold and who ran through the streets with it shouting, “This is not gold! This is not gold!”
