The poison and the antidote

You are drenched in pride;
you were taught to consume it and so you did,
and your spirit has suffered because of it.
Your practice, over and over,
your obedience, over and over,
your discipline, over and over,
your penetrating self gaze, over and over,
your submission to me, over and over:
This is your antidote to pride.
Not once, not twice, but over and over
expect it
over and over

What will help:
Not consuming pride in the first place
passing it by
