Chicago Event on Aug. 28! Sacred Space: Sound, Dance, and Meditation Fusion

I lead a Meetup group for people who are spiritual but not religious*, and I’ve just created a new type of event (See below: previously it has been more silent meditation-esque focused). YOU are invited to come.

This first launch evening will be free. Come on over, IRL, and join us.

* All people along the spectrum of faith and doubt and no faith are welcome.

Aug. 28 – Sacred Space: Sound, Dance, and Meditation Fusion

We have explored the path to the Divine through poetry and word – now we explore the spiritual journey through music. Come join us as we repurpose the prayer space of a chapel to be now the holding space of our exploration of spirit and sound.

What do you need to release? Now is the time to release it.
What do you need to receive? Now is the time to receive it.

Through music, movement, and guided meditation, this is an evening to welcome, embody, and honor your multifaceted journey, and to journey with others. People of all ability and disability are welcome and to move as their bodies allow. Knowledge of meditation movement is not required, only an openness of spirit and heart, which will allow the body to express what lies beyond words.

The flow of the evening (flexible):

7 PM-7:15 PM: Welcome, gathering, and grounding
7:15 PM-7:45 PM: Free flow movement
7:45 PM-8:15 PM: Guided meditation movement
8:15 PM-8:30 PM: Group sharing

This evening is open to all on the spectrum of faith and doubt and no faith.

Parking is available on-site. Please RSVP through the Meetup site

When: Wednesday, August 28, 2019, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Where: Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center
513 W. Fullerton Pkwy, 60614 · Chicago, IL

Cost: This initial launch event is FREE.
