Nothing really moves at all

Nothing really moves at all
the rushing waves are but pushed

You can look for me above
but I am hidden in the roots

Thank you for these fragile days

Thank you for these fragile days
each minute nothing but spun filaments of glass
that glisten and dance in your light
but everything passes
shatters and cracks
as it must
for you to gather the shards
and spin each minute
again

may the fragrance of our prayers mingle,
intertwined, yours and mine
drifting blessedly upward
