After a sleepless night
of breathing and thinking and fearing and wandering
I stumble through this day-too-bright;
be vigilant, O Lord, and stand watch over me
for I cannot; I am dazed; I cannot

Friends,
I’m planning and facilitating a retreat in August for adults who are “spiritual but not religious”. It is not affiliated with any organization or religion. For those of you who want to give some thoughts : What would you hope to get from the retreat? What would you want to see/do? What would you *not* want to see/do? Other thoughts? (feel free to post here or email me at meisaanchan@gmail.com)
Please pass this along to anyone who’d also be interested in sharing their feedback!
Fondly,
Meisaan
Wrestle with me, says the Lord
come into the ring
show me your best moves
take it out on me

I do not need to see your face;
just to know that I am with you
the desert shrinks
the desert shrinks

You turn my thoughts to you;
without your hand
I would err forever

Be not afraid, little one
for gentle are my hands

The catch is to stay on the path
especially when the path dissolves

You teach me to trust you again and again and again;
sometimes I do, but then sometimes I panic and put the walls back up,
but that does not dissuade you,
you, who knows that consistency is the basis for all trust
