I left my windows open last night
and was struck that cool Camino air had crawled into my living room as I slept:
Yes, you are on a journey, you whisper
without leaving your house
you will hike up hills and mountains
you will be exhausted and receive amazing beauty
you will grow stronger, each step strengthening the next
you will go farther than you thought you could
and be defeated in ways you thought you couldn’t –
All is journey! You do not know how the path will curve
and above all, remember: This is a trust walk
