peering into the blackness
when your only task
is to breathe, open-armed,
clothed in wondrous dark

You spend so much energy
being afraid, being angry –
why carry needless weight?

Friends,
For those of you who have been following along for a couple years, you might notice that over the next weeks, some poems will be repeating. This was due to an error that I made when scheduling these posts. My first instinct was to correct the mistake; then, a subtle voice reminded me that Presence is also present in imperfection and mistakes.
So, I have decided to let these repeated poems remain. May the mysterious Hand touch you through them, at the time that you need, in the way that you need.
Fondly,
Meisaan

but choose carefully, for the foundation determines the structure:
be mindful of how you tend to your foundation

When your goal is not comfort
you will be freed for the adventure;
When your goal is comfort
you will be locked up at home

Temptations come from every corner,
pulling you this way and that;
if you succumb too many times
your feet will veer off the path

Resilience
is one of the precursors

Hands cupped and open;
may my question be not if the food will come
but when

Feeling sorry for yourself is not the way of the warrior
and I raised you to be a warrior

In the face of a screaming to-do list
I’m sit, breathe, and pray
for there is no way I am going to enter the storm without an anchor
