There is a distinct difference between risk and danger
and how often we stop at risk

Meditation’s function

It is not silence for the sake of silence
or space for the sake of space
but silence so you may hear the divine alleluia
and space so you can hold more of it, eternal womb

A note on meditation

Sitting in a chair does not result in meditation;

Live with open hands, says the Lord

Live with open hands, says the Lord:
If they give it, fine
if they take it away, fine
if you fight and win, fine
if you fight and lose, fine;
May the fire in your heart burn brightly
but don’t even cling to that light
for I am the source, which you simply can never lose:
live with open hands

expect my arms

Perfectionism is destructive

Perfectionism is destructive;
from sun up to sun down
it uproots the paved stones because they are pocked
and forgets it should be journeying

Happiness

External happiness is a beautiful bauble, breaking easily
internal happiness is solid glass
