Lifetime with closed eyes –
never saw how amazing you are:
blown away

Reciprocity is not necessary, says the Lord
if it were, the human race would not be loved:

Sometimes the walls are far on the horizon
and I run and dance and work late into the night;
sometimes the walls pull in
and I cannot do what I did before: slow, pained movements;
sometimes the walls pull in further, deep beneath my skin
and I lie paralyzed from sunup to sundown:
help me honor and love these limits, no matter where they are
for loathing of any kind will never help me heal

How far you have brought me along
and how far there is to go!
If I had known the path was so brutal
I never would have started;
if I had known the path was so exquisite
I would have started five lifetimes ago

but knows that failure and hardship
teach in ways that comfort never can
