You spend a lot of energy trying to leave, God says

“You spend a lot of energy trying to leave,” God says.
“As much as I want to, I can’t say,” I say. “It’s not right. But neither is leaving.”
“Such a conflicted heart!” God says gently.
“What’s the way out?” I ask.
“Remember that I am eternity,” God says.
